Seeking sexual excitement and conquest, poor but beautiful Beth seduces wealthy merchant prince Grey Sexton, only to find herself the pursued as he seeks to own her body and soul.
Flouting the moral standards of Jeffersonian America, temptress Beth McConnell lets no man touch her heart. Her motto is love them once and leave them burning.
But when she boldly seduces Grey Sexton, a self-controlled merchant prince from New York, she finds herself too fascinated by his ice-over-fire nature to stay away. His possessive determination to own her, body and soul, threatens to expose her secret erotic life to public shame.
But Beth will only surrender her love to a man she can trust. And Grey's materialistic approach to relationships leaves her little reason to believe he can ever give her what she truly needs.
For these two cynical yet lonely people, can deep sexual intimacy work a miracle and lead to the opening of their hearts?

Grey's Lady is an ARe Recommended Read:
"This sexy little romp was an
erotic temptation that left me wanting more. I loved the heroine’s feisty
nature...Grey is a hot and demanding hero. He follows his heart, giving in to
the demands of his desire when enflamed by the dance Beth leads him on." ~ Lady

"Grey’s Lady is the wickedly
hot first entry in Natasha Blackthorne’s Carte Blanche series. Set in
Philadelphia in 1812, when society’s rules dictated that a woman be chaste until
marriage, this book focuses on a woman who is quietly determined to own her
sexuality and make her own rules. With likeable characters, frank and
occasionally bawdy dialogue, Ms. Blackthorne’s book captured my attention from
the first page...
I really liked how Ms. Blackthorne developed Beth’s
character – at first I wasn’t sure I was going to like her but as the story
progressed, I realized she is a young woman who is in essence a trailbreaker;
she considers herself a man’s equal and while she bows to society by keeping her
liaisons discreet, she wants the freedom to explore her sexuality and sexual
At first I wasn’t sure I liked
Grey’s character but as the story progressed and Ms. Blackthorne developed his
character, I was able to see the man beneath the icy, ruthless, businesslike
exterior and realized how much his tragic past shaped the man he’s
YES! YES! YES!
Natasha Blackthorne, it is authors like you that make historical reads worth
reading. I can think of only one other historical read that I have gave a 5 star
rating to and that was Diana Gabaldin. You have captured and implemented the
substance that makes the characters come alive and interesting with their
emotions leaving the reader excited and feeling the emotions themselves. The
story was so exciting that I was totally glued to the page eagerly eating up
each sentence and just couldn’t put the book down...Now I will be anxiously
waiting for the next book to see where Grey and Beth’s relationship takes them.
